Extraordinary Talent of the Week: Jake Lawless

Manlius-Pebble Hill senior Jake Lawless plays three sports, but one of his true passions is the trombone.

He reluctantly picked it up in elementary school, and hasn’t put it down since.

He is working to become a professional musician— on Sunday afternoons, you’ll find him at Jazz Jam in Armory Square, or performing at Limp Lizard or Funk N Waffles.

Jake will leave his neighborhood next year to study jazz and composition in college. His dream is to someday lead his own band.
