Manlius Pebble Hill School offers driver education course at three locations

 

Manlius Pebble Hill School has opened registration for its winter/spring driver education course. The 15-week course begins Jan. 25. Central New York teens who will be 16 by the first of week the course and who have a valid learner’s permit may enroll online at www.mph.net and through the school’s community programs office, 446-2452.

Approved by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, the MPH program has three components – classroom instruction in driving techniques and rules, in-car driving observation, and behind-the-wheel driving practice. Special safety awareness programs are also included.

Classes are taught by certified driver education instructors at three locations – MPH, Fayetteville-Manlius High School, and Chittenango High School.

Upon completion of the course, students will receive an insurance certificate and Student Certificate of Completion (MV285) from the Department of Motor Vehicles, entitling them to receive a night license at age 17. The course fee, including textbook, is $510; payment plans are available.
