Manlius Pebble Hill School has a long history of welcoming international students into our community. MPH offers a supportive, immersive educational experience that helps students thrive academically, build confidence in English, and form meaningful relationships—while gaining a deeper understanding of American culture and a truly global perspective.

International students at MPH quickly become part of our close-knit community, developing long-lasting connections with faculty, host families, and peers. Our dedicated International Student Coordinator provides personalized support to ensure students feel known, cared for, and fully engaged in school life.

Just like our local students, international students are encouraged to take part in the full MPH experience—including performing and fine arts, athletics, leadership opportunities, and extracurricular clubs and activities. This balance of academics and engagement helps MPH students become well-rounded and competitive applicants for college.


College Counseling & Preparation

International students also benefit from MPH’s comprehensive and personalized college counseling program, including guidance on academic planning, course selection, standardized testing (as applicable), and the college application process.

MPH is located in a quiet suburb of Syracuse in Central New York, near Syracuse University and Le Moyne College. Our 26-acre campus offers an ideal environment for learning, connecting, and belonging.

Tuition, Fees & Visa Requirement

International students should refer to our Tuition page for the most up-to-date rates and cost of attendance information.

Upon acceptance and receipt of a tuition deposit, the Office of Admissions will issue international students a Form I-20, enabling students to apply for an F-1 student visa through the U.S. Consulate in their home country.

Admissions Eligibility

MPH enrolls international students in the Upper School only (Grades 9–12). International applicants are typically academically motivated, hardworking, and eager to fully engage in a rigorous college-preparatory program. Students who thrive at MPH are those seeking strong academic challenge, meaningful relationships with faculty, and guidance toward admission to top U.S. colleges and universities.

International Application Requirements

To apply, international students should follow the same process as all other candidates along with submitting the following:

  • Proof of English proficiency (for students whose first language is not English)
    • TOEFL, Duolingo, or IELTS will be accepted
  • Current bank statement (in English) showing liquid assets of at least $41,000 US
  • Copy of student passport (photo page only)
  • Copy of guardian passports (photo page only)

The following is part of our standard Admissions process and is a requirement for all candidates:

  • Zoom interview with the Admissions Team and/or the International Student Coordinator
  • Official report card/transcript for current and 2 previous academic years (in English)
  • English and Math teacher recommendations
  • Student Questionnaire (completed in English)
