Bousquet Holstein PLLC has announced that eight of the firm’s attorneys have been named to the 2015 issue of “New York Super Lawyers – Upstate Edition.” They include: David A. Holstein, Steven A. Paquette, Christine Woodcock Dettor, Paul M. Predmore, and L. Micha Ordway. In addition, Emilee Lawson Hatch, Cecelia R.S. Cannon and Aaron D. Frishman have been designated as “Upstate New York Super Lawyers Rising Stars.”

“Super Lawyers,” a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a rigorous multi-phased process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers magazines and in leading city and regional magazines across the country. No more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers.

To be considered for a Rising Star distinction, lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action — whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation.

David A. Holstein, of Jamesville, is a member at Bousquet Holstein and serves on its board of managers. He has been selected by Super Lawyers for his work in estate planning and probate. Holstein’s practice in this area includes estate, retirement, business succession and tax planning, and probate and trust administration for individuals, estates and trusts, family-owned businesses, private foundations and charitable organizations.

*Christine Woodcock Dettor, of Fayetteville, is a member at Bousquet Holstein and has extensive experience in working with not-for-profit organizations, and also focuses her practice in the areas of trusts and estates, health care, professional practices and elder law.

Paul M. Predmore, of Fayetteville, is a member of the firm, and serves on its board of managers. He is the principal attorney overseeing all tax controversies at both the federal and state levels. Predmore has extensive experience in dealing with the Internal Revenue Service and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance on audit, administrative appeals, litigation and collection issues. Predmore has assisted both individuals and businesses in successfully resolving complex federal and state tax matters.

In addition, the following attorneys have been chosen by Super Lawyers as 2015 Rising Stars:

Aaron D. Frishman, of DeWitt, serves as Of Counsel in the Estates and Trusts Practice Group. Frishman has extensive experience in providing clients with comprehensive estate and tax planning, drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care proxies. Frishman will also be representing clients in estate administration, trust and estate litigation, and guardianship matters, as well as providing Medicaid planning to elderly and disabled clients.

*Christine Woodcock Dettor is a 1988 graduate of MPH.
