Manlius Pebble Hill to begin school year with traditional ceremony
Manlius Pebble Hill School will open its doors on Wednesday, Sept. 9 to approximately 320 Pre-K through grade 12 students.
After weathering a short period of financial uncertainty and successfully completing an unprecedented four-month, $3 million fundraising campaign, the school is back on solid financial footing and ready to begin the academic year strong.
The school will follow its long-standing tradition of starting the year with their annual “handshake ceremony.” Faculty, staff and administrators line the walkway outside the school and greet each and every student with a handshake. After passing through the line, seniors are invited to join their teachers and they too, shake hands with all of the students in grades Pre-K through 11.
This beloved tradition has been part of the school’s opening day for decades.
