MUN Team Continues Successful Season

On December 10, 2016 the MPHMUN team traveled to Utica, New York to compete in the Upper Mohawk Valley Model United Nations Conference (UMVMUN). There were 200 students in attendance from over 14 high schools from Central New York. Taking only 13 underclassmen (freshmen and sophomores), the MPHMUN team had an outstanding performance winning nine major awards.

MPHMUN Coach, Dr. Jeffery Mangram said, “The young students on the team came up big at this conference! They spoke well, negotiated well, and conducted themselves well. The students focused on what they have learned thus far this year: prepare well and execute at a high level. They demonstrated their readiness by their wealth of knowledge and poise during committee sessions. The future for the team is bright.”

Up next for MPHMUN is the The Central New York Model United Nations Conference, held at Syracuse University on January 6-7, 2017.
