MPH student artists think ‘inside the box’

The “Experiment Effect” is alive and well at MPH! Inspired by the MIT cardboard boat races, Mrs. Henderson’s Intro to Design students designed boats from just cardboard and duct tape…and they had to be designed to hold and a person while floating. Trial and error was the key to success in this project!  Students learned about design thinking and through series of tests and prototypes, leaned about the need to fail in order to succeed.

Last week, the Upper School students tested their creations at the YMCA in Fayetteville and on Monday, they will conduct an interactive lesson with with lower school-aged home school students from the community to teach what they learned.
