MPH Alumna to host Book Signing

MPH alumna Amanda Raymond ’97 will be at the DeWitt Barnes & Noble on Monday, January 15 from 4-7 p.m. signing her newest book, Son of Sherlock.

Amanda  graduated from Syracuse University, where she studied Psychology and English. She also studied abroad in England, at University College London.  Amanda has been an avid Sherlockian since her years here at MPH, and had always desired to write a unique story about the Great Detective; an original idea, that wasn’t just another one of his cases, narrated by Dr. Watson.

She works in publicity, handling ‘Behind the Scenes’ content for The Walt Disney Studios for their feature film division, (including Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm features) and has also worked in production for Disney Television Animation, (Lilo and Stitch the Series, Emperor’s New School, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) Disney Toon Studios, (Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue) Nickelodeon Animation Studios, (Stripperella, Fatherhood) The Jim Henson Company, (Sid the Science Kid) and Blumhouse Productions (Boy Next Door, The Darkness). Amanda recently produced a pilot for a comedy series with Kevin Sorbo, two short films, and has written several pilot scripts.

In conjunction with the book signing, MPH will be hosting a Book Fair. The in-store event will be Monday, January 15 – Sunday, January 21 and online orders can be placed Monday, January 15 – Saturday, January 20. During the Fair, shoppers can use the ID: 12312591 and MPH will receive a portion of the proceeds from all purchases.
