MPH Winter/Spring After School Clubs – 2026
Looking for a fun, enriching way to keep your child engaged after school this winter and spring? MPH’s After School Clubs offer hands-on learning, creativity, problem-solving, and skill-building in a supportive environment—taught by trusted MPH faculty and expert instructors.
From Art and Chess to Math challenges and Money Masters, there’s something for every interest and age level. Spaces are limited (and some clubs carry a waitlist from prior sessions), so we encourage families to register early.

Art Club – Fine Art Fun Drawing and Painting for Grades K-5*
Dates: Wednesdays, February 25-March 25
Time: 3:15-4:15 p.m.
Cost: $130
Calling All artists! Students will enjoy drawing and painting using a variety of art supplies including chalk and oil pastels, watercolors, acrylic and tempera paint. Students will draw and paint using inspirations such as animals, sea life, nature studies, and abstract design. Drawing and painting skills will be taught along with color mixing, mixed media techniques, and composition. Students will bring home a mounted and completed piece of art each week. Brain Busters Math Club for Grades 3-5
Dates: Thursdays, February 26-March 26
Time: 3:15-4:15 p.m.
Fee: $90
Come join the Brain Busters Math Club! Ready to stretch your brain, tackle cool challenges, and think like a math detective? Join MPH 5th Grade Teacher Ms. Concepcion in solving fun brain teasers and Math Olympiad–style problems that make you puzzle, strategize, and have fun. You’ll work with friends, solve clever math problems, and discover how fun it is to outsmart a really tough math question.

Chess Club for Grades K-8
Dates: Tuesdays, February 24-March 24
Time: 3:15-4:15 p.m.
Cost: $90
The MPH Chess Club is the most successful, award-winning chess program in Central New York. The MPH Chess Team has won no less than seven tournaments, with team members winning several individual chess championships. Chess also helps keep thinking and reasoning skills in shape throughout the school year. Coach Bob Nasiff is a U.S. Chess Federation nationally rated chess master with over 30 years of instructional experience. Many of his students have won chess championship titles at the local, state, and national levels.
Mini Money Masters for Grades K-2
Dates: Thursdays, February 26-March 26
Time: 3:15-4:00 p.m.
Fee: $95
In Mini Money Masters, students learn all about money through fun, hands-on activities. Each week, children earn play dollars, save them in their own decorated piggy banks, and make choices about how to spend or save. We explore needs vs. wants, simple budgeting, and how savings help us reach bigger goals. This club builds early math skills, responsibility, and confidence all through imaginative play and real-world leaning. Instructor: MPH Science Teacher Mr. Estrada
Junior Money Masters for Grades 3-5
Dates: Fridays, February 27-March 27
Time: 3:15-4:15 p.m.
Fee: $100
Junior Money Masters turns money smarts into fun, hands-on learning. Students earn play dollars, manage their own money over time, and make thoughtful decisions about saving, spending, and planning ahead. Along the way, they explore needs versus wants, budgeting with limited resources, and setting short- and long-term goals. The club concludes with a practice marketplace where students use their earnings to buy and sell goods or services. This interactive experience builds confidence, strengthens math skills, and encourages smart financial habits in a playful and age-appropriate way. Instructor: MPH Science Teacher Mr. Estrada
