About the Role

The Dance Teacher will design and deliver developmentally appropriate dance instruction across Lower, Middle, and Upper School divisions, fostering both technical skill development and artistic expression.

Dance programming at MPH includes:

• Lower School: Introducing foundational movement skills, creativity, body awareness, and joyful exploration through dance.
• Middle School: Building dance technique, movement vocabulary, confidence, and appreciation for dance as an artistic discipline.
• Upper School: Teaching repertory and choreography courses that expose students to dance history, performance practices, and original composition.

Students showcase their work through culminating performances during the winter and spring seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Dance, Dance Education, or a related field preferred.
• Experience teaching dance to children and/or adolescents preferred.

Compensation

Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH) seeks an innovative and accomplished music educator to join our Performing Arts Department and lead our Lower, Middle, and Upper School band programs for the 2026-2027school year. Our vibrant performing arts program includes comprehensive instruction in band, chorus, orchestra, Suzuki strings, general music, theater, and dance. MPH places the health and well-being of our students at the center of our program, and the successful candidate will be able to reflect and demonstrate those priorities in their pedagogy. In addition to teaching band and instrumental lessons, this teacher will support students’ preparation for and accompany students to NYSSMA-sponsored festivals, and support students and Performing Arts colleagues at some evening and weekend MPH performances. Based on the candidates’ interests and expertise, additional responsibilities may include teaching general music, pep band, modern band, a role in theatrical productions, and/or other music electives. The candidate will work collaboratively with Performing Arts colleagues and work across departmental lines, fostering teamwork and cooperation amongst faculty, staff, and administration. The ideal candidate will be creatively responsive to student interests and needs and demonstrate a willingness to participate in the life of the school.

The annual salary range is $48,000 – $64,500, dependent on teaching experience, with excellent benefits that include medical, dental, and life insurance, an employer-matching retirement savings plan, and tuition remission for eligible children. At least two years of classroom experience is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in music is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. Proficiency with Google Classroom and incorporating music technology is desirable. Driver Education Instructor (Part-Time)

Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH) seeks a qualified and dependable Driver Education Instructor to join its established driver education program. The program operates three times annually—summer (June–August), fall (September–December), and winter/spring (January–May)—and serves Upper School students preparing for safe, responsible driving.

Instructors teach both classroom theory and behind-the-wheel instruction. Classes and driving sessions are scheduled after school, in the evenings, and on weekends. This role is ideal for an instructor who values working with adolescents and can foster a calm, supportive learning environment while maintaining high standards for safety.

Responsibilities

• Teach New York State–approved driver education theory classes

• Provide behind-the-wheel instruction and in-car supervision

• Prepare students for safe driving and state licensing requirements

• Maintain accurate attendance and instructional records

• Communicate clearly with students, families, and program coordinators

• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and state regulations

Qualifications

• Valid New York State MV-283 Driving Instructor Certificate

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Prior driving instruction or relevant teaching/coaching experience preferred

• Patience, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations

• Knowledge of New York State traffic laws and regulations

School Bus Driver (Part-Time)

Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH) seeks an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Bus Driver to transport students during the 2025–2026 school year. This part-time position supports daily after-school transportation as well as periodic athletic and activity routes.

The role may be filled by one driver covering both shifts or split between two drivers.

Schedule

• Daily Route: 2:45–4:45 p.m. (in-session school days)

• Activities/Sports Route: 5:00–6:30 p.m. (as scheduled)

• Routes run round-trip from DeWitt to Skaneateles

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities

• Conduct required pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and school transportation policies

• Maintain clear and professional communication with school staff and families

• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for student passengers

Qualifications

• Clean and valid driver’s license

• CDL Class B or C with passenger endorsement required for the 2:45–4:45 p.m. bus route (20-passenger bus)

Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH) seeks caring, dependable, and experienced Substitute Teachers to provide classroom coverage across all divisions, including Early Learning (PreK/Kindergarten), Lower School (Grades 1–5), Middle School (Grades 6–8), and Upper School (Grades 9–12).

Position Overview

This per-diem role supports students and maintains a positive, well-managed learning environment in the absence of a regular classroom teacher. Substitute teachers collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure continuity of instruction and supervision while responding thoughtfully to student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage and student supervision as assigned

• Follow lesson plans and guidance provided by classroom teachers or division leadership
