Red House to feature MPH student Jazz musicians

Manlius Pebble Hill students will present a jazz performance at 8 p.m. Tuesday April 12 at the Red House arts and cultural center in Armory Square.

Some two dozen student musicians will play selections like Charlie Parker’s “Now’s the Time,” Fats Waller’s “Honeysuckle Rose,” Stanley Turrentine’s “Sugar” and Antonio Carlos Jobin’s “The Girl from Ipanema.”

The jazz performance is the third of five MPH student performances at Red House this year. These “Schoolhouse at the Red House” productions are a continuation of the school’s unique three-year partnership with the nonprofit arts organization. All of the MPH productions are free and open to the public.

Red House is located at 201 S. West St., Syracuse.
