Don Ridall, the longtime boys soccer coach at Manlius Pebble Hill, will be inducted into the New York State Soccer Hall of Fame on Nov. 11, during the state championship weekend in Middletown.

Ridall has 564 career victories in 42 seasons at MPH, including a pair of state Class D championships in 2000 and 2001. He is the winningest active boys soccer coach in Section III, behind only state leader Charlie Engle, who retired last year at Mount Markham.

In 2001, Ridall was named the national private school Coach of the Year and was also East Region Coach of the Year. Ridall has taken the Trojans to four state final fours, finishing second once and losing in the semifinals in the two years he didn’t win it all. Eight times he has been named the private school Coach of the Year in Section III, and three of those years he also was the state private school Coach of the Year.

Ridall, who also belongs to the SUNY Cortland Athletic Hall of Fame, will be one of five honorees into the state soccer Hall of Fame.

The current MPH team is 9-2 overall and 3-2 in the OHSL Patriot National division.
